NBA 76ers in quarantine in New York City

(New York) The 76ers from Philadelphia quarantined themselves in New York due to the positive COVID-19 diagnosis of guard Seth Curry.

One knowledgeable source reported that the Sixers stayed in the hotel last night after learning that Curry had tested positive for coronavirus during Thursday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

This individual requested anonymity to speak with the Associated Press as the team did not disclose Curry’s condition. She added that Curry is currently the only player in the Sixers who has been diagnosed with the virus.

Curry was absent from Thursday’s game due to a left ankle injury and was wearing a mask while on the Sixers bench for the first half of the game. Curry scored six three-pointers and 28 points on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.

The Sixers face the Denver Nuggets in Philadelphia on Saturday.
