The Baltimore Orioles filled an infield position by awarding a $ 1.5 million one-year contract to Freddy Galvis on Tuesday.
Galvis provided seven homers and 16 RBIs with the Reds last season, hitting for, 2020.
Galvis is expected to play shortstop with the Orioles, who sent Jose Iglesias to the Angels in December.
Last season, Galvis played 33 games at shortstop and 16 at second base.
Galvis made his major league baseball debut in 2012 with Philadelphia. He also played with San Diego, Toronto and Cincinnati.
His best season so far is 2019. He had 23 home runs and 70 RBIs with the Reds.
